ABOUT ME

WhatsApp Image 2026-04-07 at 23.37.49.jpeg

I’m a professional bassist based in Cape Town, with formal training from the Cape Music Institute and years of experience performing on both local and international stages. My career has taken me across South Africa as well as to destinations such as Bahrain, the Maldives, and Qatar, where I’ve worked in a wide range of live performance settings.

Over the years, I’ve had the privilege of working with some of South Africa’s leading artists, including Jimmy Dludlu, Lira, and Judith Sephuma, and sharing stages with international acts like Marcus Miller and Snarky Puppy. I’ve also performed at major events such as the Cape Town International Jazz Festival.

In addition to live performances, I’ve been involved in theatre productions like Remembering the Lux and District Six Kanala, which have further shaped my versatility as a musician.

I’m passionate about teaching and sharing what I’ve learned throughout my journey. My goal is to help students not only develop solid technique, but also gain the confidence, musicality, and real-world skills needed to perform and grow as artists.

Whether you’re a beginner or looking to refine your craft, I aim to make learning the bass both practical and inspiring.

The bass is the bridge between rhythm and harmony.”
